Jake Hennon grew up on a beef/race horse farm in Whangarei, New Zealand spending time fishing and diving kept Jake busy as a young child however his love for rugby came at an early age. He played with Whangarei Boys High school first XV and went on to play NZ secondary schools in 2010. A move to Auckland rugby academy studying Biodiversity Management(Natural sciences, conservation etc.) saw him then captain the New Zealand U20 to the Junior RWC in 2012. While playing development rugby with the blues in New Zealand he met Pat Lam and that cemented his move to Galway in 2013 to play with Connacht.
Since moving to Ireland Jake has benefited from his time here by travelling to 17 different countries, started my own business (Bubble soccer) and became involved with 3 charities, Dochas don Oige, RMHC, and Tackle your Feelings.
